Foundation

The Foundation series consists of seven novels that collectively form a monumental narrative. It begins with "Foundation," where Hari Seldon's psychohistorical predictions lead to the creation of the Foundation on the remote planet Terminus. As the Galactic Empire crumbles, the Foundation strives to minimize the dark age that follows.

In "Foundation and Empire," the Mule, a mutant with unprecedented mental abilities, disrupts Seldon's plan, challenging the Foundation's stability. "Second Foundation" introduces the hidden Second Foundation, a mysterious group working behind the scenes to safeguard Seldon's vision.

"Foundation's Edge" and "Foundation and Earth" shift focus to the search for Earth and the origins of psychohistory. As the Foundation's influence expands, it encounters external threats and internal dilemmas, testing its principles.

Finally, "Prelude to Foundation" and "Forward the Foundation" delve into Seldon's earlier life, detailing the events that led to the creation of psychohistory and the Foundation. Asimov's intricate storytelling weaves together politics, psychology, and technology in this captivating exploration of humanity's struggle for stability in the face of cosmic upheaval.
